The 70th Republic Day of India was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervor at Indira College of Engineering and Management amidst the foggy morning of 26th January, 2019. The ceremony took place in the presence of Dr.Tarita Shankar, Chairperson IGI, Dr. Sunil Admuthe, Principal ICEM and HoDs of various departments, faculty, staff members and students.
The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Dr. Tarita Shankar. This was accompanied by the rendition of National Anthem led by the college’s students, staff. After National anthem Chairperson Dr.Tarita Shankar addressed the crowd. The programme moved forward with Certificate distribution ceremony of International Certification Programs of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, E&TC Engineering and Computer Engineering Departments held at Nottingham University Malaysia.. The energetic performances by the Rangkarmi Group and Dance performance by MBA students filled the crowd with great energy and enthusiasm. The heartfelt renditions of patriotic songs aroused feelings of love and brotherhood among all. After all ICEM Staff cricket team was felicited by Chairperson Dr.Tarita Shankar for winning IGI Champions Trophy at IGI Staff Cricket Tournament.

1950, the Constitution of India came into force and our country, India became the Republic. We celebrate this day as a festival every year. This year it was celebrated with pomp and show in our school. All the students assembled on the school ground at 7:30 am.
