(your school) celebrated its silver jubilee from October 30 to November 1 with grandeur and enthusiasm. It was held on the school premises and local M.P. S.P.Y. Reddy, local M.L.A Bhuma Nagi Reddy and M.L.C Geyanand were the chief guests along with a host of other dignitaries.
The function commenced with a prayer, lighting of the lamp and a guard of honour accompanied by the school band. The consolidated report of the school was presented by the principal, Jessy Paul. The school’s souvenir ‘Smritulu: Reminiscences Recollected’ was released on the first day. On the second day, a CD of silver jubilee songs written and composed by A. Bhaskar Rao, P.E.T., was released and on the third day, academic excellence awards were presented to the students who secured 10/10 grade points in SSC (2013-14 ). Students rocked the stage with spectacular cultural events on all three days.Sports Day
The annual sports day of Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally, was celebrated in December at the R.R.C Grounds in Secunderabad. The programme started at 3 p.m. with the arrival of the chief guest, Commodore Siddharth Mishra and his wife.
The guests of honour were Lakshmi Rajam, Chairman, Metro India, M. Komaraiah and the Chairman of Pallavi Model School. Vice-principal Mallika Rao delivered the welcome address. This was followed by a brief account of the activities that took place in 2013-14, which was given by the principal, Jaishree Rao. ‘Synchrony of Mind and Body’- a yoga feat by students of class eight was a visual treat while other displays like ‘ The Eloquent Account’ by students of class four, ‘Stick Magic Drill’ by the tiny tots of class two kept the audience glued to their seats .
However, the most engaging performances included the ‘Dandiya Raas’ by the students of class six and ‘Telangana Banjara’ by the students of class nine. ‘ChapcharKut Delight’ by the students of class seven was indeed a magical delight. Other performances – ‘Jashn-e- Punjab’ by students of class five, karate display ,‘Soar to the Skies’ by the students of class three and ‘Fun Race’ by the students of class two were mesmerising.
Students who had secured CGPA 10 in the AISSE 2014, were felicitated and all-rounders were also awarded prizes. The chief guest, in his address, urged all the children to take an active interest in sports. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by the prefect council co-ordinator, Kapil.
