Christmas Celebrations

Delhi Public School, Chandigarh celebrated Christmas with great fervour and enthusiasm. The entire school vibrated with the echoes of Christmas carols.

The Pre-Primary wing wore a festive look with bells, streamers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Several activities such as decorating Christmas Trees and Stockings, making Christmas Cards and Hand-crafted bells were organized for the students. The children were told about the birth of Lord Jesus and the legend of Santa Claus. The spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the tiny tots as they exchanged exquisitely packed gifts with each other and played games. Later, class wise activities and parties were also organized for the junior and senior wing of the school.

Christmas was special for the students of Shiksha Kendra, an afternoon school of DPS Chandigarh. They too celebrated Christmas in their own way enjoying a special Christmas cake and gifts. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets to them.
