Harappan civilization was the most ancient civilization of India. Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro situated in the Montgomery district of the Punjab, and the larkana, situated in Sind. Harappan civilization was conducted in the third decade of the present century at Mohenjo-Daro.

The remains of Indus or Harappan Civilization are found in India and Pakistan. They are dated from 2600 BC to about 2000 – 1500 BC. It is one of the most popular ancient civilizations in human history, also known as Indus Valley Civilization. The first excavation was made for cradle discovery of this civilization.
