NSS Report on Independence Day 2016-2017
A great day and a proud moment for every Indian.

Wada College of Management & Science too was all set to celebrate the independence day of India .everyone on the campus was geared up & enthused for the momentous occasion though the weather didn’t seem to be favorable at all.

The guests, student & teachers started pouring in by and at sharp 8.30am. The National flag was hosted by the chairman Mr. Yogesh Gandhe sir.

Then some of the student sung National Anthem with salute from everyone was given to the flag. Some boys & girls from college played a band in fact college band did a wonderful by some group & individual singing. Then some speeches delivered by both junior & senior college students. Students spoke about the importance of the Independence Day & expressed their emotions through patriotic song & speeches.

The highlight part of the show was speech delivered by a BMS student Abhishek, who is handicapped, unfortunately. He spoke about IT revolution & youth strength of India then closing speech delivered by the Mr.Sonawane sir and announced official closing of the program.

Most noteworthy, it tells them how our country got independence from the grasps of the Britishers. And about the sacrifices, our freedom fighter has made for the country. Also, we do it to make our children aware of the history of our country.

The last Viceroy of India, Mountbatten was the reason behind choosing August 15 as the Independence Day. He was bestowed with powers and mandate by the British parliament to pass on the powers to the Indians by June 30, 1948. Yet, August 15, 1947, was announced by the Britishers the day of the end of British principle.
