Different things posses the ability to either compress fully ,partially or not at all generally things in the gaseous state are more easily compressable than liquids whereas in solids we cannot compress them the following experiment can be of use when proving compressability of things. Take three syringes and apply rubber corks on their ends,take two substances like water and chalk pieces put water in 1st syringes and chalk pieces in second syringe ,leave the third syringe empty try to push the syringes with rubber corks on them u will see that the first syringe will be easy to push but till a certain level and pushing the second is the most difficult. The third syringe gets pushed very easily this shows that gases are easy to compress compression is nothing but the process to make the particles of a matter come together
