Hyderabad: The Rotary Club of Miyapur, which is a part of Rotary International District 3150, has organized a special traffic safety awareness program today at Miyapur – Bollaram Junction with the support of Traffic Police, Miyapur.

This awareness program emphasized on usage of Helmets and Seatbelts for the safety of the vehicle users. In order to attract the attention of commuters the club dressed few volunteers as Yama Dharma Raja, Chitragupta and supporting soldiers. These character dressed volunteers requested the commuters who are not wearing the helmets and seat belts to start using the same for safety. This colorful unique approach impacted and made realize the commuters to use Helmets and Seat belts.

Rotary club of Miyapur members along with dressed Yamadharmaraja personally spotted 400+ commuters who were not wearing seat beats and helmets and requested them to wear the same for their safety and also served them friendly request in the form of request bill.

★ Rotary Club of Miyapur:-

President of the Club Mr.BP Padala, promised he would surely come forward along with his members to do such unique events in future. He also told that Rotary Club of Miyapur is taking up several service activities like supporting schools with school desks, providing clear and safe drinking water in Government Schools and also taking up training the school teachers in Government Schools. Apart from the Club President BP Padala, Past Presidents Seshadri, Ravindra Varma, Club Treasurer Srinivas Varma, members Vishwanath Ramraj, Chaitanya Nandigam, Satish Gaddam also participated in this awareness campaign.

The cooperation of the press representatives was also commendable. They guided and cooperated very well in free flow of traffic. Club members conveyed Special Thanks to the Miyapur Traffic Police Team for all their support in this program.

If every person would take precautions and be careful while travelling on the road than a large number of accidents can be prevented
