A stationery shop was gutted in fire at Books Market, City on December 11, 2018. People living in the neighboring building saw smoke coming out of the ventilators and informed the owners of the shop. By the time owners reached the shop the conflagration had destroyed 70 % of the stationery items in the shop. Fire-fighting department reached the spot and doused the fire. Police also reached the spot to examine the cause behind the fire. Sparking in the electric wires is being suspected as the chief cause of this fire. Mr. P. Sharma, the owner was quite depressed at the loss.

A terrible fire broke out in stationary shop in Bangalore on 9th December 2018. This fire accident has resulted in a loss of many stationary things which are often used by the students. It has resulted in a loss of lakh of rupees. Injured owner was taken to the hospital. The fire was controlled after a struggle of around four hours by the fire brigade
