The birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India, Jawahar lal Nehru was celebrated as Children's day in the schools and educational institutes of the state on Tuesday. Education Minister Arvind Pandey celebrated the day by spending considerable time with the primary and upper primary students of the Government School in Rajiv Nagar in Dehradun.
The minister offered floral tribute to Pandit Nehru. The students later showed their skills in a cultural programme. Addressing students, Pandey said that one should never forget his/ her past after completing studies and everyone should do something for the society. On the complaint of the parents and teachers the minister directed the officers of Power Corporation to shift the high tension line passing above the school. The minister presented cricket kit to the students and also gave some books for the school library.

The much awaited children's Day was celebrated in our school on 14 November 2018 on Saturday with a lot of fun.The programme started with a floral tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.In her address the principal (name)threw light on the life and achievements of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and adviced the students to follow his teachings.
The teachers from the junior and middle schools arranged a special assembly for the students.
The teachers sang the school songs to mark celebrations.The teacher gave various performances for the students in order to express thier love and care for them.
