                            Rain reaps havoc in Shimla

Shimla, 16 September:

Incessant rain for the last four days has brought life to a standstill in Shimla. All schools and colleges have been closed. All residents have been instructed not to leave their houses unless there is an emergency.

All water bodies are flowing above their danger level. If the rain persists for another day a state of emergency will have to be declared.

So far the death toll has reached sixty. Due to the sudden landslides many are feared to be buried below the debris. Shimla needs aid. Please lend help generously for the people of Shimla.
