In a mouth drooping incident a teenager saved an octogenarian from drowning, here at Andheri, Parsiwada, yesterday evening.
The incessant heavy rain in Mumbai region, flooded many parts of the city paralyzing the normal life. A stranded Narayan Ketkar (85) was returning to his apartment from a grocery shop nearby. As the flow of water became swift and water level rose suddenly Mr Ketkar lost his balance and fell down. In no time he was washed away to the open drainage canal.
Seeing the helpless condition of a man, Anurag Tiwari (15) who was enjoying the rain with his friends, rushed to rescue the victim. His presence of mind and timely action could save Ketkar. With the help of onlookers and Police, the victim was taken to the near by hospital. According to the hospital sources, the victim is out of danger.
The local police and residential society appreciated Anurag for his valiance.
