Ans :- The quiz master asked me who my favourite actor was.

② The little girl said to the scientist, " How does a caterpillar turn into a butterfly?"

Ans :- The little girl asked the scientist how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly.

In an interrogative sentence, that is not used in combiNing the sentences. The same WH word is used .

After the WH word the auxiliary verb doesn't come as we have to make it an assertive sentence.
