(i)first draw a line and take a point as zero

(ii)start writing -1/5,-2/5,-3/5 and so on  till -20/5 towards the left hand side direction

(iii)cancel -5/5 , -10/5 , -15/5 and write -1,-2,-3 respectively on a new number line

(iv)make sure the values are equidistant

(v)put a star mark on the rational number -12/5(touching the line)
