EXPLANATION.

Graph of the equation.

⇒ 2x + 3y = 40.

⇒ 6x + 9y = 10.

As we know that,

From equation (1), we get.

⇒ 2x + 3y = 40.

Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get.

⇒ 2(0) + 3y = 40.

⇒ 3y = 40.

⇒ y = 40/3.

⇒ y = 13.33

Their Co-ordinates = (0,13.33).

Put the value of y = 0 in equation, we get.

⇒ 2x + 3(0) = 40.

⇒ 2x = 40.

⇒ x = 20.

Their Co-ordinates = (20,0).

From equation (2), we get.

⇒ 6x + 9y = 10.

As we know that,

Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get.

⇒ 6(0) + 9y = 10.

⇒ 9y = 10.

⇒ y = 10/9.

⇒ y = 1.11.

Their Co-ordinates = (0,1.11).

Put the value of y = 0 in equation, we get.

⇒ 6x + 9(0) = 10.

⇒ 6x = 10.

⇒ x = 10/6.

⇒ x = 5/3.

⇒ x = 1.66

Their Co-ordinates = (1.66,0)
