Instructions to draw:

1. First, draw a line segment “AB” which is of 3.5

2. Now, extend the line segment to C so that BC = 1 unit.

3. Identify the midpoint of AC and mark as O.

4. Draw a semicircle considering O to be its centre and OA as its radius

5. Now draw a line perpendicular to AC such that BD ⊥ AC, which intersects the semicircle at the point D.

6. Then, BD =  \sqrt {3.5} ,

7. Having B as its centre and BD as the radius, draw an arc, meeting AC extended to E.

Then, BE = BD = \sqrt {3.5}
