according to Pythagoras' theorem:

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

to get √3 we need 2as AB and 1 as BC

AC^2= 2+1

AC=√3

  1. now take 1 cm height and 2 cm breath

and draw a triangle in the place of 1\2

2.now take a compass and keep on opposite side and draw a arc

3. where the arc takes place that point indicates √3
