Represent 3x + y - 5 = 0 & 2x - y - 5 = 0 graphically.

From the graph, find the points where the lines intersect y-axis.

3x+y-5=0
put x=1,then y=2
put x=2,then y=-1
plot the points,(1,2)(2,-1)

2x-y-5=0
put x=1,then y=-3
put x=0,then y=-5
plot the points, (1,-3)(0,-5)

see in graph where the lines intersect y-axis

here, the given expression of linear equations
is
3x + y - 5= 0.................【 1 】

and, 2x-y-5 =0............【 2 】

For , finding the points where the lines meet at y-axis.

we have to put x =0:

therefore , 3× 0+y-5=0

⇒y = 5 , thus eq 【1】 intersect y-axis at (0,5)

and for eq【2】:

2 × 0-y-5=0

⇒y = -5, thus, eq【2】 intersect y-axis at (0, -5)
