Step-by-step explanation:

Steps of Construction:

Draw a line of 2 cm,named it as OA

At A draw a perpendicular line of 1 cm,let this line is AC.

Join OC, length of OC =√5 cm

Take OC as base line ,and draw a perpendicular of 1 cm at C,let this is CD.

join O and D ,length of OD =√6 cm

Take OD as base and draw a perpendicular of 1 cm at D,let this is DE.

Join O to E,the length of OE = √7 cm

Put the compass on O,measure till point E and draw an arc to join E to number line at E'.

Where the point meet is the distance of √7 from OE'.

Hope it helps you.
