3) Find the midpoint of AC.

4) Draw a line BD perpendicular to AB and let it intersect the semicircle at point D.

Therefore, BE= √9.3 units

  • firstly draw a line of 9.3cm label it line AB now add 1cm more on the line now label it C
  • draw a perpendicular on number line AC
  • now open your compass at the radius of AO now draw a semi circle
  • now draw a perpendicular from B to C and label it D
  • then open your compass at the radius of BD
  • now draw an arch from B to number line it will cut at the point of √9.3
  • this is the required figure
