K2Cr2O7 + H2SO4 + 3SO2 ——— K2SO4 + Cr2(SO4)3 + H2O.

The orange-coloured dichromate solution will turn green due to the formation of chromium(III) sulphate, Cr2(SO4)3.

It is a redox reaction. Here:-

The oxidising agent is potassium dichromate and the reducing agent is sulphur dioxide.

Hope it helps!!!!
