Answer:

1) draw a line and mark some numbers

2) as we have taken √3 as √(√2)square + (1)square so plot a perpendicular on 2

3) take the distance between any 2 points say between 1 and 2 by a compass and mark an arc on the perpendicular

4) join the arc till 0, so now the figure obtained is a right angled triangle

5) finally measure the hypotenuse of this triangle on a compass and mark an arc on the no. line.... you're done!
