Hi there !!

Refer to the attachment for the representation

Steps :

1.Draw a considerably long line A
2. To represent✓3, we've to first represent ✓2 on a number line( in the attachment)
3. For this , 1stly , mark the number 1,2,3,4,5.. on a number line with 1 unit length = 2cm.
4. Draw a vertical ray X on the 1st number.
5. Take a compass with 2cm as radius and cut an arc on ray X , let it be Point O.
6. Join O and A, again, measure the length of hypotenuse and with A as centre, cut an arc on A such that it also intersects Point O. Let the point on the line be B.

Now, to represent ✓3

7. From Point P, draw a second vertical line Y.
8. Take radius as 2cm and cut an arc on Y. Let it be Point D.
9. Join A and D.
10. Measure the hypotenuse and keeping A as the center , draw an arc cutting Point D on ray Y and cutting horizontally at Point C.

Hence Point C on Line A is ✓3
