Heya,
1) Draw 3cm and mark it as A & B
2) Later extend the point 1cm and mark it as C [1]
3) From C again extend the line and mark 2,3,4,5 (number line)
4) Draw a perpendicular bisector for A & C and mark the meeting point as O.
5) O as centre draw a arc or semi circle.
6) B as centre draw 90deg. straight line and mark the meeting point as D.
7) B as centre take the distance/length of D and draw an arc that touches the number line.
8) Mark the point that touches the number line as P. and that is the location of √3.
