An equation of the form ax² + bx + c =0, is called quadratic equation in variable x, where a, b and c are real numbers. a≠0.

The form ax² + bx + c =0 is called the standard form of quadratic equation.

SOLUTION:
Let the one consecutive even integers is x &  another consecutive  even integers (x+2).

ATQ
x (x+2) = 1848
x² + 2x = 1848
x² + 2x - 1848 = 0

Hence, the quadratic equation is x² + 2x - 1848 = 0.

Hey!!

Two consecutive even integers are best shown as:
x and x+2.
(x)(x+2) = 1848
x^2+2x-1848 = 0
(x+44)(x-42) = 0
x = -44 or x=42 Answer
