GIVEN:

Area of a rectangular plot = 528m²

Length of the plot is one metre more than twice its breadth.

TO FIND:

Quadratic equation representing the situation.

SOLUTION:

Let the breadth of the rectangular plot = x

Length of the rectangular plot = 2x + 1

We know that,

Area of rectangular plot = l × b

Where, l = length and b = breadth

==> x(2x + 1) = 528

==> 2x² + x - 528 = 0

Therefore, quadratic equation is 2x² + x - 528 = 0.
