To represent improper fractions on a number line, first convert the improper fraction into mixed fraction and then see the Quotient.

Improper fractions always lie after 1 so see the quotient , the number will lie between this & next  number. See the divisor , make such divisions & this is how it's done ! !

i.e  7/3 = 2  1/3

7/3 lies between 2&3 with 3 divisions

(NOTE :- 3RD DIVISION HERE REFERS TO 3 , a whole number so only two divisions will be made between 2 and 3)
