yes it is correct that reproduction is linked to stability of population of species as suppose if we do not reproduce so our species will be extinct and there will be no more human. For ex there is a extinction of dodo which is a bird because it is unable to reproduce. That's why reproduction is necessary to continue the species of our own individual.

In reproduction, DNA passes from one generation to the next. Copying of DNA take place with consistency but with minor variations.

This consistency leads to stability of species.
