The reptile ability to adapt themselves to the hot and arid climate of dessert is commendable. Some of the methods which reptiles adapt to survive in the dessert are:

• Reptiles burrow into the sand and hide themselves to escape extremely hot weather condition.

• The reptile skin is covered with scales which helps in minimum water loss.

• Reptiles possess strong limbs and tail which further help them to catch their prey.

• Some reptiles develop salt glands which help to secret salt from their bodies but not sweat thus retains water content in the body.
