Hi,
We have a function out here in our localatiy. For this purpose every year we first take permission from the police regarding this function. I was thinking if I would be asked to write a letter to the police for permission, what should I have wrote. I wrote a letter in this connection. Please Check this letter and also suggest me some good vocabularies which I can replace with my given vocabularies. I will be very greatful to you if you please let me know your valuable suggestions.

Subject: Permission for using loudspeakers during Saraswati Pooja
Sir:
Respectfully I wish to state that our community celebrates goddess Saraswati Festival on October 10 every year. We have a large gathering in which we sing songs in praise of the deity. The hymns are followed by community dinner after offerings to the goddess. The celebrations last late into the night. Kindly give us permission to use loud speakers till 12:30 a.m. on October 10. We shall be thankful.
