Q. Factorisation »

(5a - 3b)² - 16b²

= (5a - 3b)² - (4b)²

= [ (5a - 3b) + (4b) ] [ (5a - 3b) - (4b)² ]

= ( 5a - 3b + 4b ) ( 5a - 3b - 4b )

= ( 5a + b ) ( 5a - 7b )

Answer » (5a + b) (5a - 7b)

Identity Used »
