Researches show similarity in the fossil remains of vegetation found on the eastern coast of South America and the western coast of Africa.why?

in a lacs of year the position of earth plates and shells are change due to some disaster and natural phenomenon like thunderstorms and cyclones . so, it will be proved by scientists that position of land is changed.
Due this we all so say that the vegetations fossil can be same
