3. Stock resources are those resources which are readily capable of fulfilling our needs, but their use is not possible at present due to absence of appropriate technology.

E.g. Hydrogen gas can be used as a very efficient fuel, but due to absence of such technology which can help us to harness, it cannot be accessed currently.

Whereas;

4. Reserve Resources are those resources which are efficient to meet our needs with the help of the present existing technology, but their use is very limited or has not been started.

e.g. The abundant solar energy of Rajastan and swamps of Gujarat is not yet used to generate electricity.
