the quantity. which have only magnitude is called scaler quantity. and the quantity which have both magnitude as well as direction is called vector quantity

A measurable thing in physics is called physical quantity. example ,distance ,force ,pressure ,mass ,volume etc .This is called physical quantity .

There are two types of physical quantity which are :-

  1. Scaler quantity
  2. Vector quantity

▪Scaler quantity ➡

The physical quantity which need only the value of magnitude to express it completely is called a Scaler quantity. example, distance, speed ,volume etc .

▪Vector quantity ➡

The physical quantity which needs value as well as direction to express it completely is called a vector quantity. example, velocity ,displacement etc .
