Resins swell up when kept in water

When raisins are kept in water, they swell up by absorption of water by ENDOSMOSIS...

Since, the concentration in the raisins is higher than that of water, the water moves into the raisins by which the raisin swells up....

This happens due to Endosmosis in which the concentration of resins is more than the concentration of water.
Endosmosis-  the flow of a substance from an area of lesser concentration to one of greater concentration .
Hence the resins swell up
