Resistance:
The opposition to the flow of electric current is called resistance. It is represented by "R" and its unit is Ohm Ω
Resistance is given by the formula:
R = V / I   ........... (1)
where V is the voltage measured in volts 'V' and I is the current measured in amperes 'A'
We have to find the dimensional formula of resistance.
Since we know that,
Dimensional formula for V = M L² T ⁻³ A⁻¹
Dimensional formula for I = A
Put these values in equation (1), we get:
Dimensional formula for R = M L² T ⁻³ A⁻¹ / A
Dimensional formula for R = M L² T ⁻³ A⁻²
Hope it is helpful to you. Thanks.

"The dimensional formula for \mathrm{R}=\left[\mathrm{ML}^{2} \mathrm{T}^{-3} \mathrm{A}^{-2}\right]

Solution:

We know that,

Top of Form

V=IR

or { R }=\frac { V }{ I }

also  we know that, { V }=\frac { w }{ q }

Therefore, { R }={ \frac { w }{ QI } }

Where, the dimensional formula for \mathrm{W}=\mathrm{ML}^{2} \mathrm{T}^{-2}

Q = AT

I = A

Resistance is the opposing force that is offered by any object to restrict the flow. In general, resistance can be said as the hatred or the opposing behavior exhibited by something."
