(a) Equivalent Resistance = 7.54 ohm.

(b) Equivalent Resistance = 0.8 ohm.

Hey Mate! In the first question.

1. We will simplify the circuit. so that we can easily see the setup of resistors.

2. Then we will calculate the equivalent resistance across the circuit.

So, Lets simply. (Note- The simplified structure is in attachment.) we

The equivalent resistance in first will be 7.54 ohm. (The method is in the attachment.)

Similarly, In the Second question we will again simply the structure and calculate the equivalent resistance.

So, equivalent resistance in second will be 0.8 ohm.(The method is in the attachment.)

Methods are based on these formulas:-

-->For series (when resistors are connected in same line)

Equivalent Resistance = Sum of all the resistors.

-->For parallel (when resistors are connected parallel i.e. by splitting wire into two.)

Equivalent Resistance = 1/First resistor + 1/Second resisitor + and so on.
