Given - Resistance - 40 ohm

Diameter of wire - 0.3mm - 0.0003m

Length - 2 m

Find - Resistivity

Solution - Resistivity of a wire can be calculated by the help of formula -

Rho = R*A/L

In the equation, rho represents Resistivity, R is for resistance, A is for area and L is for length.

Keeping the values in equation-

Rho = 40*0.0003/2

Rho = 0.012/2

Rho = 0.06 ohm meter.

Hence, resistivity of wire will be 0.06 ohm meter
