So potential difference V = 200 Volt

Time t = half an hour = 30×60 = 1800 sec

Energy is equal to E=P\times t

E=400\times 1800=7.2\times 10^5J

As 1 J = 0.239 calorie

So 7.2\times 10^5J=0.239\times 7.2\times 10^5=1.72\times 10^5calorie
