Let R1 = 4 ohm and R2 = 12 ohm

1/Equivalent = 1/4 + 1/12

Eq = 3 ohm

Current = 9/3 = 3 A

Current in R1 = 9/4 = 2.25

Current in R2 = 9/12 = 0.75
