We know,
V = IR
When resistance are connected in series, current is same.
Now,
V1 = IR1
V2 = IR2
V3 = IR3
Total Voltage, V = V1+V2+V3
=> IR = IR1+IR2+IR3
=> IR = I(R1+R2+R3)
=> R = R1+R2+R3
Therefore, Equivalent Resistance, R = R1+R2+R3
Now, According to Ohm's Law,
V = IR
=> I = V/R where, I: Current, V: Voltage, R: Resistance.
