Resisters given as R1, R2,R3 are connected in series to a battery of 6 v .Draw the circuit diagram .Show the arrangement . and derive the expression for the the equivalent resistance and also find the current.​

We know,

V = IR

When resistance are connected in series, current is same.

Now,

V1 = IR1

V2 = IR2

V3 = IR3

Total Voltage, V = V1+V2+V3

=> IR = IR1+IR2+IR3

=> IR = I(R1+R2+R3)

=> R = R1+R2+R3

Therefore, Equivalent Resistance, R = R1+R2+R3

Now, According to Ohm's Law,

V = IR

=> I = V/R where, I: Current, V: Voltage, R: Resistance.
