Resistivity of aluminium is approx. 2.4 x 10^(-8) Ohm-m and that of copper is approx. 1.8 x 10^(-8) ohm-m. All wires in any home have a cross-sectional area of 10^(-6) m². The home with Al wire has 1000 m of wiring length and that of copper is 1200 m of wire length. Electrical energy consumed is in direction proportion to the resistance of wiring. The electrical power bill per month is directly proportional to energy consumed. Suppose the wiring/circuit is not bought but rented on a per month basis. Rate of Al wiring is Rs 120 per month and that of copper wiring is Rs 200 per month. Both houses spend equal amount per month. The constant of proportionality between energy and resistance is 2. Find the constant of proportionality between energy and power bill.
