Explanation:

When resistors are connected in parallel combination then the following formula is used for adding them

1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 +1/R3+.....+ 1/Rn

So we have R1=2ohm R2=5ohm then,

1/R =1/R1+1/R2

     =1/2+1/5 = 7/10

1/R = 7/10

R= 10/7
