Reslove a force F = 10 N along x and y - axis. where is this force vector is making an angle of 60° from negative x -axis towards negative y- axis

Given to us in question :-

• Force ( Fx ) along negative x - axis .
• Force ( Fy ) along negative y - axis .

• Force = 10 N

it's component will be :-

=> Fx = Fcos60°
=> Fy = Fsin60°

here F = 10 N .


Force is making 60° from negative x - axis that is it's component will be :-

=> Fx = 10cos60° = 5 N. ★

similarly other component .

=> Fy = 10sin60° = 5√3 N . ★

Given that force F= 10N along x and y axis
the vector is making 60° with the negative x axis then it will make 30° with y axis then the comppnent along x axis is=Fcos(60°)=
10{cos60} = 10 \times {1 \div 2} = 5
hence it is 5N
again in y axis its making 30°
so its component=
10 \times { \sqrt{3}  \div 2} = 5 \sqrt{3}
