Required Answer:-

The mistakes and the corrected sentences:

1) Mistake: visited

  • Did you visit your grandmother yesterday?

2) Mistake: came

  • My relatives didn't come from Latvia.

3) Mistake: contributed

  • Why did you contribute to her project?

4) Mistake: lost

  • Theo didn't lose his glasses.

5) Mistake: to study

  • Karen didn't study Ancient Rome for the test.

Reason behind the Mistakes:-

Did is the past tense of Do. And we use the base form of main verb after using Did not the past tense of the verb.

For Example:

  • Not didn't ran, It should be didn't run.
  • Not didn't ate, It should be didn't eat.

In sentences, we use Did as the auxillary or helping verb and that shows the tense of the sentence. But the main verb is used in its base form. A tense can be confirmed by its auxillary verb itself.
