Anything which can be used to satisfy our needs that is technologically accessible,economically feasible and culturally acceptable is termed as resource.
We have a lot of resources but until and unless they are not processed they do not become useful for us.
for example-We have raw jute but until it is not processed it is of no use for us but if we processed in different items then we get many goods from it like -
Ropes which is used in tying anything or in climbing,
Jute bags which are used to carry things,etc.
