Respected Sir/ Madam,

Professor Ramaranjan Mukherji, a Great Indologist and a man of versatile genius, Padmashree Awardee, left us for ever on 13 March, 2010 leaving behind a large number of students and followers. He had the brain behind establishment of so many degree colleges, one college with Oriental Learning, two engineering colleges, a law college and some Sanskrit & Vedic Institutions in the state. Being a true academician as well as able administrator Professor Mukherji left no stone unturned for the betterment of the Universities of Burdwan and Rabindra Bharati. We can feel his constant presence in our mind.

Some followers of Professor Mukherji have gone ahead for the establishment of an Academic as well as Research Centre, i.e., Professor Ramaranjan Mukherji Centre for Oriental Studies. We have plans to take the institution forward. As a mark of its first attempt, a Commemoration Volume is going to be published in the end of October this year.  An Organising Committee under the patronage of Revered Swami Suparnanandaji Maharaj, Hon'ble Secretary of The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture has been formed. As you have been chosen by the Committee as a Writer of the Commemoration Volume.

You are earnestly requested to submit your valuable write-up in English, Bengali or Sanskrit by email in word file on or before July 15, 2021 so that publication of that precious volume may come out within the aforesaid time-limit in the best interest of a large number of academicians, researchers and students of the country. This will also be a mark of honour to be shown to the unfailing memory of the legendary Professor Ramaranjan Mukherji.
