Respiration is of two types, aerobic and anaerobic. Both types of respiration occurs in humans however, in many microorganism like yeast, bacteria etc. they can only respire through anaerobically. Give reasons.​

The lactic acid is a waste product. Some plants, microorganisms and fungi such as yeast can respire anaerobically - it's preferable to release less energy and make less ATP but remain alive. This reaction is also called fermentation .
