Respiratory pigment is not present in a cockroach.

EXPLANATION:

Respiratory pigment is like a molecule which increases the capacity of oxygen content in the blood.

Cockroaches do not need a respiratory pigment because they breathe through small openings at the sides of their bodies. These are called spiracles which form the internal respiratory system of the cockroach. The oxygen is absorbed by the different tissues and cells so that energy can be released.
