Human respiratory system consists of nostrils, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles and lungs.
Human have a pair of nostrils opening out above the upper lip.
Pharynx is the common chamber for passage of food and air.
Larynx is a cartilaginous box which help in the sound production.
Trachea is a straight tube which divides at the level of 5th thoracic vertebra into right and left bronchi.
Lungs are present in the thoracic cavity. Right lobe have 3 lobes and left lung have 2 lobes.
Alveoli is the structural and functional units of lungs.
