The restoration of wastelands refer to the improvement in the soil of the wasteland which can somewhat help in cultivation of crops .

Restoration of wastelands can be achieved by :

⏩ The artificial production of water or irrigation can help in transforming wastelands .

⏩ Proper maintenance of the wastelands .

⏩ Improving soil quality by adding fertilizers to the appropriate quantity.

⏩ Preventing further erosion of soil .

⏩ Preventing the exposure of the soil .

Wastelands generally refer to the area or a region where cultivation is not possible.

These lands are generally created due to the following :

⏩ Drought in an area .

⏩ Heavy rainfall causing gully erosion .

⏩ Man made causes .

⏩ Over grazing and poor methods of harvesting .

Restoration of wastelands is the process which is done for the improvement in the quality of the soil.

Because of some reasons, Soil is Unfertilized And because of which it becomes very important for improving the quality of the soil. There are so many ways and methods for improving soil. One of them and general method is Restoration of Wastelands.

Here are some methods and ways by which the restoration of soil is done:

i) Prevention of Erosion of soil

ii) Not using Chemical fertilizers and chemical substances

iii) Production of irrigation is done by Artificially methods.

iv) Maintenance of soil is done time to time

There are so many reasons because of which, There is a erosion of soil. So, For preventing such Erosion, various methods and techniques are used. Soil erosion can be because of so many natural and artificial things.

                       

In natural, There is -

i) Drought

ii) Earthquake

iii) Tsunami

iv) Heavy rainfall

                       

If we talk about Human reasons, Then it can be -

i) Use of chemical Fertilizers

ii) Use of Artificial materials

iii) Growing same Crop at same soil
